WHAT YOU'LL GET:

Here's How

IT ALL BREAKS DOWN...

_____________

MODULE 1: BRAIN DEVELOPMENT

THIS is where you’ll create a bulletproof foundation for understanding the human brain with that “Aha!” kind of clarity.

Remember, the main reason you get overwhelmed with trying to manage disruptive or annoying student behavior, is because these attempts aren’t rooted in a SOLID foundation of understanding your students’ brain capacities to help direct your interventions.

By the time you’re finished with Module 1, you’ll have developed a CORE understanding of neuro-development, and how to activate your students’ brains in ways that benefits the classroom as a whole.

Here’s how we’ll get you there:

+ Four Basic Areas of the Brain: I’ll show you Dr. Bruce Perry’s “upside-down triangle” version of the brain, and how each component works.

+ Functionality of the Brain: Once you get a clear, section-by-section overview of the full human brain, it’s time to understand how this thing operates! You’ll learn what each area of the brain is “responsible” for and how it functions.

+ Regulating Approaches & Strategies for the Brain: This is where the rubber meets the road! You’ll learn can-do options for teachers to implement inside the classroom, approaches that will help you directly activate and regulated each of the brain areas that helps you teach, and your students learn!

MODULE 2: THE STRESS RESPONSE

Awesome!

You've set down your neuro-development foundation, and are now ready to connect what's going on "inside" your students with what manifests on the "outside" (through their behavior).

As you work through Module 2, you'll get a comprehensive understanding of how students can act out or act in, and what to look for as you stand at the front of your classroom.

Here's how we'll get you there:

+ The Four F's: You've heard of Fight and Flight before, yet do you know about how these can escalate within seconds? Or how each of these reactive states is truly an attempt at self-preservation? In this lesson, we break it all down so you start to really see how students are responding to perceived threat in their lives and in the classroom.

+ 5 Shifts for De-Escalation: One of the questions I get asked most often is: "What the heck do I do once a student has been triggered and is in one of these reactive states? And how do I not make it worse?" In this lesson, we'll go through five concrete adjustments and tactics you can use with someone in Fight, Flight or Freeze (and Flock too), which can help a child who's skyrocketed from zero to sixty to slow back down and return to a healthier speed.

+ 5 Perception Pivots: As cliche as it may sound... our perceptions create our reality. So for teachers, taking an up-close-and-personal look at our perceptions about certain behavior can drastically improve outcomes. In this lesson, we'll dive into five of those pivots you can make as a teacher that will make your life (as well as your students') waaaaay easier.

MODULE 3: THE INTIMACY BARRIER

Woo hoo!

You've set down your neuro-development foundation, you've gotten both clarity and action-tools that you can use with your students, and now you're ready to take an even deeper dive into perhaps the most confusing of behavior...

What I call: "Feral Dog" behavior.

Here's what we'll cover:

+ Levels of Tolerance: The different levels of tolerance for attention, connection, engagement and affection will vary for students, based on what they've gone through. You'll hear some real-life examples that will illuminate and explain this confusing dynamic in a way that makes it feel waaaay less personal, and waaaay more approachable.

+ Triple-R Formula: If you're like me, you're going to be wondering: "How can I actually apply all of this?" This 3-part formula (another treat from Dr. Bruce Perry) is a simple model to follow in ANY time of distress or disconnection. In this lesson, we will go over examples, case studies, and practical application tools for how you can use this with your students.

+ The "Help Me Help You" Engagement Strategy: You may have been asking yourself: "If I don't use incentive-based strategies to get my students to behave, then what do I use instead?" In this lesson, we use a model by Dr. Ross Greene... another step-by-step formula that will help you work through challenging convos, disruptive moments, those awful relationship-ruptures with your students in a way that engages both of you while finding some of those mutually-rewarding, out-of-the-box solutions.

You'll Also Have These Incredible Bonuses Waiting for You When the Course Opens...

**Keep in Mind** that the FIDGET FORMULA is part of this bonus-package as a Fast-Action Bonus only, and is included if you enroll as the Master Class is in session!

(But if you miss that window, don't worry... I'll give you a chance to add it to your order a little later!)

When you add allof these up, that’s a total real-world value of $2,581...

"WHAT. A. POWERHOUSE. At a time when the opportunity is so ripe to find modern solutions to our social problems, Julia Rose has created a space where teachers can actually start getting the support they need to make humane and productive changes in their classrooms. Listening to her speak about childhood trauma makes me wish every educator could hear what she has to say. Invaluable. Intentional. Impactful. Trauma Camp is an exciting innovation at just the right time!"

Holly Gordon
Co-Founder, Girl Rising

"We can no longer deny the impact that our personal and social histories have had on our lives. Julia Rose helps teachers understand how this can actually affect children's abilities to take in information and learn and provides invaluable tools for their their work in the classroom. I believe this is essential education for every teacher."

Marc Skvirsky
CPO, Facing History & Ourselves

"I had the honor of watching Julia Rose breathe life and passion into some of the earliest steps of her work envisioning Trauma Camp and what that programming would look like. I think the perspective she will be sharing with teachers is invaluable; balancing a commitment to social justice, the healing of traumatized children, and encouraging compassion among those who choose to engage this healing journey. Julia truly embodies her work, and I can't wait for the teachers she trains / partners with to get a dose of her and this new path. Go Julia go!"

Brad Corrigan
DISPATCH Band Member & Founder of Love, Light + Melody

"In an environment where there is so much complexity around the issues of trauma and education... Trauma Camp brings a simple and basic introduction to teachers that helps them take the first few steps on this trauma-informed path without complete overwhelm or confusion... Which is precisely the kind of professionally-respectful and personally-realistic training that every teacher needs."
